Bell Interiors (better known to her clients as Natalie Riesselman) came to LE Designs in need of an updated, modern, and beautiful website that could showcase her portfolio. She had a hard time managing the site that had been built years ago and wanted to switch to something more user-friendly.
We knew Squarespace would be the perfect platform to host Natalie’s site because of its user-friendly interface and beautiful, customizable templates.
Natalie’s goal was to have a re-designed website that was user friendly for her clients and also showcased her portfolio. Her previous website was difficult to navigate, tedious for back-end management and uploading new portfolio pieces, and overall lacked the visual elements an interior designer’s website should possess.
Key Design Concepts
With an established logo design and brand color palette, we worked with Natalie to bring those colors to the foreground of her site without being overpowering or difficult to read. She wanted her site to be straightforward with her portfolio being front and center (as it should be for a visually-based professional). She also wanted to stick to that feminine and floral side her logo showcased. The final concept she wanted was “airy”. We utilized white space with splashes of color in smaller elements such as buttons to let her portfolio and imagery breathe.
Natalie’s new site gives her the opportunity to show off her work in a gorgeously laid out gallery. It also boasts about her talents with a professionally written bio and beautiful pages to highlight all of the services she offers.
