If you only read the first sentence of this blog, I want you to know that the short answer is ABSOLUTELY. Having a website is a crucial to building and maintaining a relationship with your clients and potential clients. It builds trust and shows that you’re a professional.
Did you know that almost 40% of small businesses didn’t have a website in 2018. That might not seem terrible. Over half of small businesses have one then, right? That’s enough? No. Because nearly 100% of consumers use the internet in order to find local businesses is 2018. If you don’t have a website, you’re missing one of the biggest marketing tools at your disposal that would boost your search engine optimization and make you that much easier to find.
If the numbers just aren’t talking, I’ll also give you a few more reasons it’s helpful to have your own business website.
Show Up in Local Internet Searches
You know when you Google search “donut shops near me” and it actually shows you donut shops that are near you? If you don’t have a website, you’ll be pushed down that list of businesses. And if someone from out of the area is looking for a great donut shop, they’re probably going to look at the first (maybe) five results.
By adding customer testimonials, showcasing yourself as the business owner, and essentially proving that you’re a real and good person to work with, people will be more willing to do business with you.
Build the Foundation of Your Marketing Strategy
Aside from a logo, your website is another huge defining mark of your business. Creating a consistent look across your website and social media also improves your credibility, brand recognition, and customer loyalty. People trust brands when they know what to expect from them.
