Taylor Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version) Album Release and How I’m Handling it as a Professional Graphic Designer

“Handling it” may be an oversimplification, because, let’s be real, is anyone handling it? I think we’re all still taking everything in.

As a professional graphic designer, and a Taylor Swift fan, I’ve generally been coping by expressing myself in my medium. The great thing about art is that it can serve almost any purpose.

We’ve all seen the TikToks where wives are “breaking up with their husband for a minute to fully feel Red (Taylor’s Version)’s emotions”. Taylor Swift created this album to be shared and felt and to encourage others to express their heartbreak.

My art’s purpose is to help people feel comfortable expressing themselves visually. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen my recent Swift-inspired merch that’s available in my shop. I’ve also recently posted a collection of color palettes pulled from stills from the All Too Well Short Film which I lovingly entitle “Fuck Jake Gyllenhaal“.
